Yesterday was a long, expensive day. Long, because at 3am I woke up to the frantic hammering of my mind thundering round in ever decreasing circles of worry. Expensive because of what caused the 3am alarm call.
But, marvellously, joyously, we have a start! We found a van on ebay that might just suit out purposes, and actually won it. Hence the dilemma. You see I love thinking about, writing about and endlessly scheming, but given the excellent opportunity I pretend I’m not home and let the answer phone pick up. So I will have to work on both the van and my attitude towards running the van. Technically therefore also my attitude towards everything else. This is a little harder, but I will try for an explanation. I’m not good at getting things done. I’m good at planning, building up to things and being excited for other people, but I like to be a passenger in my own life. I’m sure I’m not the only one, and at least I don’t passenger by handing the wheel to someone else entirely (lets not be controversial and say “people who believe in astrology”).

Just a taster

Don't panic. But yes, this is it.

At any rate I’m fairly sure I am still map reading, or at least put the post code in the sat nav. I am going to have to stop all that now and do the awkward climbing over the gear stick and the central console, into the zebra-striped seat and behind the wheel of VW Mobile Catering Van.
Metaphorically mind, I just wrote a car off, there is no way we can afford to insure me on that thing.

At any rate I wish to propose a toast to the memory of the recently passed Winston (Ford Focus) and welcome VW MCV (as yet unnamed) to the household, providing he drives all the way from London to here.
