Once more into the fray we dive, to be bemused and delighted by our newest acquisition. Once more do we throw open the doors and delight at what lies beyond.

Nuf said. We devoted an entire day to the cleaning and cataloguing of all that is giant and yellow. It turns out that there is an entire living-rooms-worth of, well, stuff inside that van. It was like getting a secret santa from a catering company, or perhaps a little like being in the firing line of some kind of a utensil-based cannon. At any rate the van comes well prepared. It’s bristling with tongs and aprons and timers and pipes and Styrofoam cups (especially cups, there were many, many cups), which hopefully means that we’re even more prepared than we were before, thus making us one step closer to trading in the giant board game of business.

Having riffled through everything we paused for tea and considered what we were actually going to sell. Burgers are out of the question. Anyone can sell a burger. Ideas formed, drifting around like very slow bumper cars. Let me formulate in words: Restaurant food, made to be eaten on the go. Bite-size morsels of cuisine. Finger-food with attitude. It’s an idea, at any rate, and you heard it here first.

Besides, if it all goes horribly wrong, at least we will never have to wash up another glass ever again.

cups, lots of cups.

mostly, our house is cups now.
