Bottle Green

In the world of fabric things are done differently to the solid, mechanical world of automotive paint. I will say this in their favour though, they are not nearly as flowery and new-age as wall paint. The Beast, long may it thunder, is bedecked in deep Brunswick green. This colour has a rich history of outraging anoraks (I did my research, feel free to browse this delightful site for further information) and protecting large lumps of metal from the fiercest of British weathers. It’s a colour that drinks ale, wears a flat cap and knows about gardening. Bottle green is its fabric translation. Yesterday was a glorious day in the chronicles of the Jabberwocky. The kind of day which, if we were in a musical, would have been a song. If we had been starring in an 80s film, it would have been a montage and if we’d been in ancient Greece, it would have been endless, perplexing epic poetry. As with all things, it began with starting the van, much to the obvious delight of the neighbors, at 9 am on a Sunday morning. We needed to get it clean before our army of Jabberwocky enthusiasts arrived to give the Beast its true colour.
